Client Care Representative

The Client Care Representative performs a variety of client services and administrative duties to ensure that clients of Indian Tree Pet Lodge and Doggy Day Camp receive top-quality service. Coordinates reception-area activities to ensure that the Lodge runs smoothly. Representatives work toward this end by performing the following duties.

Processing In Guests: Greet clients. Create files for new clients. Prepare all required forms such as patient medical history records and vaccine history, admission or boarding forms, etc.

Processing Out Guests: Accurately receipt clients through the computer. Collect payment from clients.

Medical Records Maintenance: Maintain medical records in all areas of the Lodge accurately and neatly. File and pull records as necessary.

Telephones/Communications: Answer a multiple line telephone system. Respond to inquiries or direct calls to appropriate personnel. Provide sub-professional information regarding general husbandry of patients and Lodge protocol. Schedule appointments for boarding, day care, grooming, etc.

Kennel Technicians

We take pride in the care we give to pets staying with us. We do everything in our power to make their stay safe and comfortable. We accomplish this through feeding, cleaning, exercising, medicating, bathing and filling out reports.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Walks through kennel area checking each animal individually for any abnormal activity such as vomiting, diarrhea or blood in the cage or run.
  • Reports all abnormal activity to supervisors, doctors and nurses, makes a file so the animal can be examined.
  • Recognizes emergency situations, enlisting the aid of doctors and nurses.
  • Marks charts correctly for eating, drinking, fecal and urine production.
  • Feeds and waters animals according to schedules.
  • Clean and disinfect facility and equipment.
  • Performs baths on those animals that quality for a bath, the day before they go home.
  • Administers medications to those animals that require medications while they are boarding.
  • Supervises animals when they are in the yards and performs "TLC" play times or walks for clients who have requested it.
  • Checks in animals for boarding, speaks with owners, writes specific feeding instructions, medication instructions, play times, walks, special services and records all of this information on boarding forms.
  • Takes animals to treatment room for all vaccines to be administered.
  • Records medication instructions on the kennel medication board.
  • Checks animals out for boarding, speaks with owners, brings up all belongings and goes over boarding report cards. Takes animals to exam rooms if there is a doctor discharge.
  • Makes files for those animals needing a doctor exam, informs the receptionists that there are now doctor charges and a doctor discharge is needed.
  • Takes clients on kennel tours, explains services we offer, and gives out brochures.
  • Works outside all year round, part of the job requires working without the aid of air conditioning for extended periods of time: during play times, cleaning/disinfecting the outside portion of the indoor/outdoor runs, and moving animals into and out of the yards during cleaning/disinfecting the indoor runs.
